Release candidates

In the alpha and beta versions of the Unity Editor, Pre-release packages will transition to the “Release Candidate” state if they’re strong candidates for official release. When a package reaches the Release Candidate state, Unity guarantees that the package will transition to the Released state during the next stage of the release cycle (either TECH or LTS).

Packages that are Release Candidates appear in the list of Released packages. However, the Package Manager window displays the label in the details panel and the label in the list panel until those packages fully transition to the Released state.
