    Wig menu options

    Command Function
    Grooming Tools Use a grooming tool on the selected Fur node.
    Change the tool radius: Shift + middle-click and drag.
    Change the falloff area: Ctrl + middle-click and drag.
    Paint Attributes Tool Paint density, strand width, and other attributes onto a paintable mesh. Refer to Define the shape and density of your groom.
    Bend Apply a controlled bend to strands. Refer to Add directional flow to your groom.
    Brush Sculpt strands along the growth surface in the direction of the Brush. Use it on the roots of strands to clean up the directional flow of the groom without impacting the overall shape.
    Clone Stamp Copy or mirror strand shapes from one area to another. Refer to Clone hair.
    Clump Pull strands together into clumps. Refer to Clumping workflow.
    Comb Sculpt strands or curves. Refer to Comb tool.
    Eccentricity Add noise or waves to strands. Refer to Add a wave to your hair.
    Length Adjust the length of strands. Refer to Set the length of the hair.
    Smooth Smooth and straighten strands.
    Trim Cut strands. Refer to Trim the hair.
    Wire-Pin Convert selections of strands into guide curves. Typically used for detail sculpting of individual or small groups of strands. Refer to Move hairs with wires.

    Strands

    Command Function
    Create Hair/Fur Create a Fur node on the selected polygon mesh. Refer to Start your groom. For the expanded options, refer to Create Hair/Fur Options.
    Edit Make changes to a Fur node.
    Rebuild Fur on Selected Mesh Copy the selected Fur node onto the selected mesh.
    Regenerate Fur Create a copy of the selected Fur node on the same mesh.
    Fix Strands Remove bad strands created in modeling or by degenerate surfaces. For the expanded options, refer to Fix Strands Options.
    Optimize Strand Density Normalize the selected Fur node's strand density map and adjust its master density.
    Recalculate Strand Density Recalculate and update the master density value for the selected Fur node.
    Reinterpolate Disabled Strands Reshape disabled strands to conform with the enabled strands around them.
    Create a Field Solver Create a node to hold field solver information.
    Create a Field Curve Create a field curve within a field solver node. Requires a field solver and a curve. Refer to Set up your field curves.
    Add/Update Field Maps Add or change a map on the selected field node. Use the map to paint properties on the polygon surface. For the expanded options, refer to Add/Update Field Maps Options.
    Lock Groom for Animation Disable editing for all or selected Fur nodes. Refer to Lock and unlock your groom.
    Unlock Groom for Editing Enable editing for all or selected Fur nodes. Refer to Lock and unlock your groom.
    Select Select parts of the scene.
    All Fur Select all Fur nodes in the scene.
    Mask Add or remove masks on strands.
    Strand Select Tool Mask a selection of strands. Refer to Select and edit parts of a groom.
    Strands by Face Selection Mask only the strands growing from the selected faces. For the expanded options, refer to Mask Strands by Face Selection Options.
    Strands by Length Mask strands that are longer than the specified length.
    Strands by Surface Intersection Mask all strands that intersect the fur geo.
    Clear Masked Strands Clear masks from strands. Requires the selection of a Fur node or fur geo.
    Invert Masked Strands Deselect masked strands and select unmasked strands. Requires the selection of a Fur node or fur geo.
    Paint Create and edit paint mesh attributes.
    Create Paint Mesh Add a paintable mesh to the selected Fur node that allows you to paint density, strand width, and other attributes. For the expanded options, refer to Create Paint Mesh Options.
    Blend Paint Mesh Attributes Blend the paint mesh attributes of a source paint mesh onto a target paint mesh. Both meshes must have painted attributes. Select the source first. For the expanded options, refer to Blend Paint Mesh Attributes Options.
    Transfer Paint Mesh Attributes Transfer paint mesh attributes between meshes. For the expanded options, refer to Transfer Paint Mesh Attributes Options.
    Display Choose what to render in the viewport.
    Toggle Strand Display Display or hide strands.
    Toggle Selection Display or hide the current selection.
    Toggle Selection Highlighting Display or hide highlighting on the current selection.
    Fur Shading Enable or disable fur shading. For the expanded options, refer to Toggle Fur Shading Options.
    Toggle Strand Width Preview Display or hide the strand width preview. If hidden, strands appear one pixel wide at all zoom levels.
    Transfer Copy the shape and attributes from one Fur node to another. Refer to Merge or emulate fur.
    Merge Fur Copy the shape and attributes of a source Fur node onto a target Fur node. The Fur nodes must have the same CV count. Select the target first. Refer to Merging and emulating and Merge Fur Options.
    Emulate Fur Copy the shape and attributes of a source Fur node to a target Fur node. Select the target first. Refer to Merging and emulating.
    Info Get information about the scene.
    Print Delivery Info Print key attributes about the selected Fur node.
    Total Strand Count Print the total number of visible strands on the selected Fur node.
    Total Surface Area for Strands Calculate the total surface area for strands on the selected Fur node.
    Total Vertex Count Calculate the total number of vertices for strands on the selected Fur node.

    Curves

    Command Function
    Create Curves from Strands Create a set of curves by converting strands to curves in the selected Fur node. For the expanded options, refer to Create Curves from Strands Options.
    Generate Curves from Clumps Generate the binding information for the clumps then create curves based on the bindings. For the expanded options, refer to Generate Curves from Clumps Options.
    Edit Make changes to curves.
    Length Adjust the length of curves.
    Rebuild by CVs Rebuild a curve by a specified number of CVs along the length. For the expanded options, refer to Rebuild by CVs Options
    Rebuild by Segment Length Rebuild the curve by the specified segment length. For the expanded options, refer to Rebuild by Curve Length Options.
    Repivot Curves Move the pivot point of the selected curve to the root CV.
    Fix Curve Direction Put the root CVs of the selected curves closest to the selected mesh.
    Curl Curl the selected curves or curve CVs. For the expanded options, refer to Curl Curves Options
    Noise Add noise to the curve. For the expanded options, refer to Curve Noise Options.
    Smooth Smooth the selected curves or curve CVs. For the expanded options, refer to Smooth Curves Options.
    Straighten Straighten the selected curves or curve CVs. For the expanded options, refer to Straighten Curves Options.
    Mirror in x-axis Duplicate and mirror the selected curves or a group of curves on the x-axis.
    Snap CVs to Surface Project the selected CVs onto the surface.
    Select Select curves.
    Children Select all children of the selected node.
    By Length Select curves by length. For the expanded options, refer to Select Curves by Length Options.
    By Neighbors Select other visible curves within a specified radius.
    Random Select random curves within the targeted selection. For the expanded options, refer to Select Random Curves Options.
    CVs Select specific CVs on curves. For the expanded options, refer to Select CVs By Curves Options.
    Display Choose what to render in the viewport.
    Toggle Curves Display or hide curves.
    Convert Convert curves.
    Convert to Fur Convert the selected curves to a Fur node.

    Clumps

    Command Function
    Create Clump from Curves Create a clump node and clump the hairs to the guide curves. Refer to Create clumps from curves.
    Create Clump from Curves by Radius Calculate and create clumps based on a given radius.
    Create Clump from Pelt Create clumps from a pelt mesh. For the expanded options, refer to Create Clump from Pelt Options.
    Extract Clump Curves Extract individual curves from a clump curve set. Refer to Delete a clump curve.
    Rebuild Clumps from Curves Create clumps from extracted curves.
    Edit Make changes to existing clumps.
    Create Clump Set Create a clump set from the selected curves. Refer to Create a clump set.
    Add Curves to Clump Set Add the selected curves to the clump set.
    Edit Clump Curve Radius Edit the radius in which a clump curve controls the surrounding strands. For the expanded options, refer to Edit Clump Curve Radius.
    Move Clump Curves Move a clump curve to a different clump set.

    Geometry

    Command Function
    Assign Texture Assign a single texture or UDIM texture sequence to the selected geometry. For the expanded options, refer to Assign Texture Options.
    Transfer Copy attributes from a source geometry to a target geometry. Select the target first.
    Vert Copy by UV Transfer attribute values between the source and target geometry by UV set. Select the target first. Refer to Copy or transfer your groom.
    Remove Vert Copy Attrs Remove the vert copy attributes from the selected mesh.

    Coils

    Command Function
    Create Coil Create a coil node only. Refer to Curl the hair.
    Create Coil, Connect and Extract Curves Create a coil node, connect the curves to the coil, and extract the curves from the coil. Refer to Curl the hair.
    Edit Modify coils.
    Connect Curves to Coil Connect the selected curves to a coil node.
    Extract Curves from Coil Extract curves from the selected coil node.
