    Clumping workflow

    To create and work with clumps:

    • Create the initial clump set (Create curves from strands, Create clumps from curves, and Create a clump set)
    • Adjust the clumps to your liking through the settings (Adjust the clump settings)
    • Sculpt the clumps using the Comb Tool (Use the comb tool to sculpt a curve set)

    In general order of the workflow, the basic options for clumping are listed in the following table along with a link to each page describing the option.

    Create curves from strands Create randomized curves from strands of hair.
    Create clumps from curves Create clumps from curves in a fur node with a curve group.
    Create and use multiple clump sets Create different clump sets for different areas of a groom.
    Adjust the clump settings Access and change a clump set's properties through its settings menu.
    Use the comb tool to sculpt a clump curve set Select and comb curves.
    Randomize clumps Break up strands within clumps by randomizing strands.
    Resize curves from existing hairs Freeze clump strand transforms and reset strand lengths to resize curves.
    Add more strands to a clump Add more strands to a clump by increasing the clump curve radius.
    Delete a clump curve connected to a Fur node Disconnect or delete a clump curve connected to a fur node.
