Braids
Wig allows you to quickly and easily create sets of braids. Each braid is a procedural and therefore requires relatively small storage space, and renders quickly.
Each braid is driven by an underlying curve. Moving the curve changes the whole braid. This makes it very easy to move and animate the braid.
Braid-specific attributes are saved on the curve node: refer to Braid curve attributes.
Wig models braids with three main components:
- The braid itself.
- Flyaway hairs at the edges of the braid.
- The tuft of hair at the end.
Braid structure
The main body of the braid is composed of three strands, which cross over to form a common three-strand braid. You have full control over the braid, including controlling the width of the strands, the size of the braid overall, the plait direction, whether the braid tapers towards the end, and so on.
