Clone hair across the fur set
With the Clone Stamp tool, you can clone hair by setting an origin area and painting across the hair or by stamping the hair across axes. For an overview of the Clone Stamp tool, refer to Clone Stamp tool.
Paint with the clone tool
To clone hair by painting from one part of a fur set to another:
Select the Fur node.
Do one of the following:
- In the Wig Grooming shelf, select Clone Stamp Tool .
- From the Wig menu, select Wig > Grooming Tools > Clone Stamp Tool.
Shift and left-click on the fur set to set the origin point. The origin point appears as a circle on the fur set surface. The size of the circle depends on your brush size, including falloff area.
- Ctrl and left-drag to rotate the stamp.
Adjust the origin area and tool settings. For more information on the tool settings, refer to Clone Stamp tool properties.
Click on the fur set surface to move the clone area around. The hair under the clone area updates to match the hair from the origin area.
Press Enter to stamp. Wig copies the groom details from the origin area to the clone area.
Stamp hair across axes
To stamp hair across axes:
Select the Fur node.
Do one of the following:
- In the Wig Grooming shelf, select Clone Stamp Tool .
- From the Wig menu, select Wig > Grooming Tools > Clone Stamp Tool.
- In the Tool Settings, select the button for the plane you want to mirror. Wig mirrors the groom across your selected axis.
