Add directional flow to your groom
Bend the strands to establish the direction that hair flows. Most hairstyles have several directional flows. For example, long hair flows down, while short hair might flow up or back. Create a general flow first, then refine the bend.
For more information, refer to the Bend tool and the Bend tool settings.
To add directional flow:
- Select the Fur node.
- Do one of the following:
- In the Wig Grooming menu, select Bend Tool .
- From the Wig menu, select Grooming Tools > Bend.
- In the Tool Settings, under wmWigBending Control, adjust the Radius and Falloff to change the size of the brush.
- Modify other Bend tool settings as necessary.
- Click and drag on the groom in the directions you want hair to grow.
Tip
Use a small radius and large falloff to make sweeping changes without creating patterns in the hair.
To refine the bend:
- In the Tool Settings, under wmWigBending Control, decrease the Falloff ramp.
- Click and drag in areas where you want a more defined bend.
Tip
Turn hair width off to more accurately judge the groom density while bending. (Wig > Strands > Display > Toggle Strand Width Preview).
