Connecting your account to Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web-based information center that displays statistics on websites and web pages. As a publisher, you might have seen the Tracking ID text field under the info tab of your Asset Store Publisher Administration section.

  1. Go to the Google Analytics home page, and sign in with your Gmail account.

    In Google Analytics, a “new account” refers to a new link or URL that you want to track. When you log into Google Analytics for the first time, the site prompts you to create a new account.

  2. To create a new account, click the Start for free button and then click the Start measuring button.

    The Google Analytics Create account form appears.

  3. Enter the Short URL for your package in the Account name text box. You can find the Short URL in the Asset Store Publisher portal’s Packages tab, under the Public Links section:

  4. Follow the rest of the instructions for setting up your Google Analytics account. When your account is complete, an Admin page displays the information about your account, including a Tracking ID for your new account.

  5. Copy the Tracking ID and navigate to the Info tab of the Asset Store Publisher portal.

  6. On the Info tab, in the Google Analytics section, paste the ID into the Tracking ID text box.

  7. Optionally, can also enter a value in the Location Prefix box.

  8. Click the Save and Preview button to finish.
