Marking menus
Wig includes three Maya-style marking menus.
These load when you first load the plug-in. A pop-up window asks if you want to assign the suggested hotkeys, or set your own custom hotkeys using the Maya Hotkey Editor.
General/Select/Display
Hotkey: D and left-mouse button.
This marking menu contains these commands (clockwise from top left):
- Create Hair/Fur
- Comb Tool
- Clone Stamp Tool
- Paint Attributes Tool
- Eccentricity Tool
- Bend Tool
- Length Tool
- Trim Tool
You can access the following commands through a sub-menu:
- Create Paint Mesh
- Reinterpolate Disabled Strands
- Merge Fur
- Rebuild Fur on Selected Mesh
- Regenerate Fur
Clumps and curves
Hotkey: S and left-mouse button.
This marking menu contains these commands (clockwise from top left):
- Create Clump Set
- Select Child (Curves)
- Rebuild Curves by CVs
- Unlock Clump Curve Set
- Add Curves to Clump Set
- Refresh Clump Sets
- Switch to Clump Curve Set
- Move Clump Curve
You can access the following commands through a sub-menu:
- Create Curves from Strands
- Generate Curves from Clumps
- Create Clump from Curves
- Create Clump from Curves by Radius
- Edit Clump Curve Radius
- Randomize Clump Strand Length
- Add Noise to Curves
- Curl Curves
- Edit Curve Length
- Select Curves by Length
- Select Random Curves
- Select CVs by Curves
- Extract Clump Curves
- Rebuild Clumps from Curves
- Remove Unbound Clump Curves
- Remove Unbound Clump Sets
Tools and strand grooming

This marking menu contains these commands (clockwise from top left):
- Toggle Strand Display
- Mask Strands by Face
- Strand Select Tool
- Wire Pin Tool
- Mask Strands by Clump Curve
- Clear Masked Strands
- Select All Fur
- Toggle Curve Display
You can access the following commands through a sub-menu:
- Fur Shading
- Toggle Strand Width Preview
- Toggle Selection Highlighting
- Lock Groom for Animation
- Unlock Groom for Editing
![NOTE] Suggested hotkeys overwrite existing hotkeys (A, S, D).
To edit hotkeys, select Wig > Help > Edit Marking Menu Hotkeys.
You can also edit Maya hotkeys in the Maya Hotkey Editor.
