ストリーミング仮想テクスチャリング (SVT) は、シーンに高解像度のテクスチャが多数存在する場合に、GPU メモリの使用量とテクスチャのロード時間を削減する機能です。SVT は、テクスチャをタイルに分割し、必要なときにそのタイルを GPU メモリに順次アップロードします。
SVT では、固定したメモリコストを設定することができます。完全なテクスチャ品質の場合、必要な GPU キャッシュサイズは、シーンのテクスチャの数や解像度ではなく、主にフレーム解像度に依存します。シーンに高解像度のテクスチャが多いほど、SVT で節約できる GPU メモリは多くなります。
SVT は Granite SDK ランタイムを使用しています。このワークフローでは、追加のインポート時間、ビルドステップ、ストリーミングファイルは必要ありません。Unity エディターで通常の Unity テクスチャを使って作業すると、Unity がプロジェクトをビルドする際に Granite SDK のストリーミングファイルを生成します。
