    Wire-Pin tool settings

    Customize the settings of the Wire-Pin tool to get the groom you want. For more information on the Wire-Pin tool and how to use it, refer to Wire-Pin tool and Move the hair with wires.

    Note

    In the Outliner, a wmWigWireFullNode, wmWigWirePinNode, or wmWigWireDeformerNode hold the guide curve(s).

    Wire-pin Settings

    Property Description
    Control Mode Set the mode that the Wire-Pin tool works in.
    Full Create guide curves for each selected strand. You can select and move each guide curve separately.
    Deformer Create a single guide curve that binds the other strands of hair/fur to it. As you sculpt/deform/move the guide curve, the strands in the node move. Deformation of bound strands is relative to the guide curve.

    Deformer Settings

    Property Description
    Deformer Mode Create or manipulate a wire-pin. This mode is only available when Deformer is selected in the Wire-pin Settings.
    Create Wire Pin Create a wire-pin.
    Manipulate Wire Pin Manipulate a wire-pin.
    Selection Mode Add or remove hairs from the wire-pin node or change which hair is the guide curve for the node. This mode is only available when Manipulate Wire Pin is selected.
    Add/Remove hairs Add or remove hairs from the wire-pin node. You can paint with the brush to add hairs to the node. To remove hairs from the node, hold down Ctrl as you paint in Add/Remove Hairs mode.
    Move Wire Change which hair is the control curve for your node. Click on the hair to select it as the guide curve. You can set any hair in the fur set as the control curve; it doesn't have to be one of the hairs within the wire-pin node.
    Radius Adjust the radius of the brush using the slider.
    Falloff Adjust the falloff of the brush using the slider.
