    Comb Settings

    Property Description
Mode Set how the brush affects strands or curves. For details about the different modes, refer to Groom modes.
Pull Set how the comb affects the strands.
Both Comb strands in both directions.
Front Only comb strands in front of the brush.
Back Only comb strands behind the brush.
Reactivity Set the reactivity of the brush. Lower values make the brush more stable, meaning it's slower to swivel to face a new direction as you move it around.
Root/Tip Weight Skew the effect of the brush toward the roots or toward the tips of the strands or curves. Lower values push the effect towards the root, and higher values push the effect towards the tip.
Preserve Length Maintain the length of the hairs when combing (the brush can't stretch or shrink hairs).
Backface Culling Groom only strands growing from surfaces that are facing the camera. This property lets you groom hair on one side of a surface without affecting the back. If this property is disabled, all strands covered by the brush are groomed.
