    Vertex Colors properties

    Adjust the Vertex Colors brush properties and use brush actions to paint vertex colors on a trunk or a branch.

    To access the Vertex Colors properties, select a node in Freehand mode, and in the Vertex section, select Colors.

    Shape

    Adjust the brush shape properties.

    Property Description
    Size Control the brush diameter/area of effect.
    Falloff Control the falloff area of the brush. Higher values result in a more pronounced decrease in color intensity from the center to the edge.
    Strength Control the strength of the brush. Higher values result in a faster and more intense color painting.

    Brush

    Select a brush type to paint.

    Note
    • To enable the brush, in the Tree window, hold your keyboard space bar.
    • To paint, hold left click (unless otherwise noted in the brush description below) and move across the surface.
    Property Description
    Adjust (+/-) Adjust the color by addition or subtraction of the selected color combination in the brush area.
    • R, G, and B: Select the color combination to use for color adjustment.
    • Left click: Add color.
    • Right click: Subtract color.
    Airbrush Bring the brush area to the specified color.
    • Colored rectangle: Change the specified color.
    Smooth Average out everything in the brush area. Soften and blend contours.
    Erase Erase any color in the brush area.

    Actions

    Select actions that apply to the whole selected node.

    Property Description
    Fill Apply the specified color to the whole surface of the selected node.
    • Colored rectangle: Change the specified color.
    Clear Remove all your vertex color changes.
