    Formatting and validation issues

The Manage Skills page reports issues when Assistant detects invalid or incomplete skill definitions.

When a skill appears in Skills with issues detected, expand the skill entry to review the issue message and file location, then correct the skill file and select Rescan to refresh the list.

Each skill must have a unique name value in its SKILL.md frontmatter. If multiple skills use the same name, Assistant registers only one skill and reports the duplicate as an issue. To avoid conflicts, ensure that every skill uses a unique name, even when skills are stored in different locations, such as project skills and user skills.
