Replace wires with portals

Remove wires to simplify complex graphs.

Portals are connection points that work in pairs and replace visible wires with wireless pathways to reduce visual clutter. They respect the same constraints as the wires they replace.

This page covers how to replace wires with portals only. For information on how to create wires, refer to Connect nodes in your graph.

Add portals in place of wires

To replace wires with portals, right-click on the wire, and select Convert to Portals.

The canvas no longer displays the wire. The canvas now displays two portals, one at each node where the wire used to connect. The portals are linked. If you rename one, the name of the other portal also changes.

To change a pair of portals back to a wire, right-click on one of the portals, and select Revert to Wire.
