Declaration

public Component AddComponent(Type componentType);

Description

Adds a component class of type componentType to the GameObject. C# Users can use a generic version.

Note that there is no RemoveComponent(), to remove a component, use Object.Destroy.

Obsolete GameObject.AddComponent with string argument has been deprecated. Use GameObject.AddComponent<T>() instead.
