Description

The animated velocity of the particle.

Animated velocity is used for effects that are not based on physics, but rather are based on creating a specific velocity over time. Examples of modules that use this type of velocity are the Noise and Velocity over Lifetime modules. This velocity is not remembered across frames, because modules that use this value calculate a new velocity value each frame.

The animated velocity is also used by the ParticleSystemRenderer if Render Mode is set to ParticleSystemRenderMode.Stretch.
