    Notifications

    Unity Hub includes a notifications feature that displays important updates and information about your Unity account from the Hub. These notifications help you stay informed about account-related activities.

    You can perform the following actions in the Hub's notifications window:

    • Select the bell icon to open the notifications window and display past notifications.
    • Select a notification to mark it as read.
    • Select Mark all as read to change the status of all notifications to read.

    Enable notifications

    Hub notifications are disabled by default. To enable them:

    1. Open the Unity Hub.
    2. Navigate to Settings in the left navigation menu.
    3. In the Notifications section, toggle the Enable notifications option.

    Note: To disable notifications, toggle Enable notifications.

    Customize notification settings

    The following properties to change how the Hub displays notifications. To access them, fo to Settings > Notifications.

    Property Description
    Show desktop notifications Displays system-level pop-up notifications outside of the Unity Hub interface. These notifications appear in the same way as any notification your system display. Notifications remain visible even when you muinimize the Hub or run it in the background.
    Mute desktop notification sounds Toggle whether or not audio plays when the Hub displays a notification.

    Troubleshooting

    Desktop notifications and notification sounds might require additional system permissions. To enable them:

    • macOS: Go to System Settings > Notifications > Unity Hub and allow notifications for the Unity Hub.
    • Windows: Go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions and enable notifications for the Unity Hub.
