Installation

Important

Support for the Python Scripting package is scheduled to end as of Unity 6.1.

To install the Python Scripting package, follow the instructions in the Package Manager documentation.

Installation requirements

  • Unity Editor 2020.3 or later version (recommended).

Python versions

The Python Scripting package requires and includes the following specific libraries:

  • Python 3.10.6
  • Python for .NET 3.0.0.0

The Unity Editor automatically installs and uses them when you install the Python Scripting package.

Note

The Unity Editor Project Settings window displays the current Python and Python for .NET versions installed and used by the Python Scripting package but you can't change them.
