Smart merging

The smart merging feature merges model parts by materials while preserving variant groups and animation groups for better rendering efficiency in Unity, through the reduction of draw calls. Read more about Optimization guidelines.

The following example was made from 1000 separated parts in VRED. At the end of the process in Unity, only 100 parts remain:
