Issues and limitations
The following are known issues and limitations in the Microsoft GDK Intelligent Delivery package.
- The Intelligent Delivery Mapper interface is built upon Unity's Addressables system. Changes to Addressable groups impact the generated mappings and can affect packaging layout. This might lead to build failures, packaging failures, or larger than expected patches. Always verify your layout after making changes to your Addressable groups.
- The Microsoft GDK Intelligent Delivery package doesn't generate the Intelligent Delivery intermediate layout file automatically. You must regenerate it manually after renaming, adding, or removing Addressable groups, rebuilding content, or changing settings that affect bundle naming.
- The Intelligent Delivery intermediate layout file currently only supports one platform at a time. Regenerate it after switching platforms and before you build for the target platform.
- The Intelligent Delivery Mapper detects most common issues in advance that can cause makepkg.exe to fail, however, it might not detect all issues.
