    Installation

    Caution
    • To install older versions of the Pixyz Plugin package (2.0 and older), see this documentation.
    • Please note that older versions of the package (2.0 and older) cannot be used with a Unity Industry seat and can no longer be purchased from September 3, 2024 (more information here).

    Prerequisites

    • A compatible version of Unity Editor must be installed - see Compatibility.
    • Your configuration must meet system requirements.
    • From version 3.0 and onwards, the Pixyz Plugin package is exclusively part of the Unity Industry subscription. It is what Unity calls an entitled package (or entitlement). A Unity Industry seat must be assigned to you and activated in order to install and use Pixyz Plugin on your computer:
      Warning
      • Pixyz Plugin is not compatible with the “Serial-based licensing” model, as this licensing model is not compatible with extra entitlements (which Pixyz Plugin is).
      • When using the "Floating licensing" model, the License Server must be up-to-date in order to contain the entitlement for Pixyz Plugin. Follow the instructions here to update the License Server.

    Package installation

From version 3.0 and onwards, Pixyz Plugin for Unity is only available from the Package Manager.

To install this package, follow the instructions in the Package Manager documentation.

    Note

You must have a Unity Industry seat assigned to you to be able to find the Pixyz Plugin package in the Package Manager. In the case of a Floating license, you must also be added to the Organization that owns the license.

    Package removal

To remove this package (for example, to uninstall a previous version before installing the latest version), follow the instructions in the Package Manager documentation.

    Note

An additional step is required if the version of the package you are removing is older than 3.0 (2.0 or older): in the Project window, delete the Pixyz subfolder from the Assets folder, and restart Unity Editor.

    Troubleshooting

For troubleshooting, visit the Unity Support page for Pixyz products or contact Unity Support.
