About Unity Forma Render

Unity Forma Render is an add-on package for the Unity Forma Suite that lets you create realistic, high-resolution static shots that showcase your Product for marketing purposes.

You can use Forma Render to capture shots of Products that you create in Unity Forma and 360-degree panoramic images (HDR, EXR, JPG) that you create in external applications and import as Environments.

The package also comes with sample panoramic images that you can position your product in using Forma Render.

You can use Forma Render features to take shots of your product in Unity Forma, or you can export applications using Profiles that you create in Forma, so that marketing professionals in your organization can create captures for specific Product offerings.

Before you begin

To successfully take compelling shots with Forma Render, you must already have:

• A functional Product in Unity Forma (including any Variants and materials that you want to use to change the appearance of the Product in marketing images that you will produce).

• A Unity Forma Environment or panoramic image that you will position the Product in for each shot.

Enabling Forma Render features

From the Unity Forma interface, select Forma > Forma Render > Enable in Play Mode. Forma Render features do not appear unless you enable them.

Play Mode

To use Forma Render features, you must be in Play mode. To enter Play mode, select the Game View tab and select Play.

To see any information about your Forma Product in the Forma Render interface, select the Forma button on the upper left.
