    Pixelate settings reference

Adjust the different Pixelate property settings to adjust how Unity downscales your image and the resulting pixelated effect.

    Pixelate settings

The Pixelate feature contains the following settings.

    Property Description
Size Target image size to pixelate and downscale to. If the original image’s width and height are the same, the output image’s width and height will be pixelated to the target size. Otherwise, they will be pixelated to the target size adjusted by the aspect ratio of the original image.
Keep Image Size If set, the output image will keep the original image size (width and height) after the pixelate operation. Otherwise, image size will be downscaled to the appropriate target size.
Sampling Size Number of neighboring pixels used horizontally and vertically when sampling during the pixelate operation.
Pixelate Mode Algorithm used to pixelate and downscale the image.
